Assembly Week In Wrens

This week we have continued our learning about India in preparation for our class assembly.  The children worked really hard to memorise  their lines and roles.  I was so proud of their performance and resilience on Wednesday.  I was even more proud when some visiting coaches, that came to play UV Dodgeball with them, said they were very independent and good at following instructions.  All signs that they will soon be ready to transition to Robins.

In maths we have deepened our learning about 3D shapes and have also been learning about patterns, the children have worked hard to use mathematical language to describe the shapes and patterns.  In phonics we have started our next phase of learning, thinking about words that begin or end with two consonants.

We have had a great time playing with our new sand, especially making patterns in it.  On Friday the sun was shining so we took the opportunity to go some gardening, we are growing potatoes, nurturing saplings and have planted some apple and tangerine seeds from our snack fruit.  Hopefully the sun will shine over the weekend and you can enjoy some time in the garden with your children too.
