Welcome from the Headteacher

Pirton School, a small school with a huge heart!

We believe that a happy child is a successful one. We are committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn, where all are valued. We intend that all children should enjoy their learning, achieve their potential and become independent and life long learners

Pirton School is a friendly, attractive community school with lively and enthusiastic children. We realise each child in our care has differing needs and we provide a carefully structured and stimulating curriculum to inspire and engage the children in their learning.

We also strive to provide quality extra-curricular activities, offering a number of sports clubs, individual instrument lessons (piano, recorder), drama and gardening clubs amongst a growing list of opportunities and experiences. The children enjoy school and our high expectations of them in their behaviour, social development and academic work are complemented by their own.

As well as valuing our partnership with you in educating your child, we welcome your involvement in school life. Therefore, we welcome parents into the school to help, take part in activities and to share experiences. We are proud of our historical building and the wonderful grounds that we have and are fortunate to be able to offer our pupils the ideal place to learn, explore, play and grow.

As the Interim Headteacher I am here to work with all the staff and children to ensure the smooth transition between headteachers. I am impressed with the team spirit that surrounds Pirton School and with the manners of all the children.

We look forward to getting to know you and your child. Should you ever wish to discuss any aspect of the school with us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards

Mrs Mary Driver
