Owls (Year 5/6)

Owls are taught by Miss Elia Tuck. Mrs. Allison Shaw teaches the class on Thursday mornings whilst Miss Tuck has her PPA release time. Mrs. Paula Manson is the Teaching Assistant in Owls and she supports in the class across the week.  Mrs. Jo Scott, our SEN Teaching Assistant, supports in Owls for some of the week, providing support to specific children. 

There are 29 children in the class, 8 of these children are in Year 5 and 21 of these children are in Year 6. 

Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. Please make sure the children have their PE kits on these days. Homework will be set on Thursday and due in on Tuesdays. The children are given weekly spellings to practise as well as Maths and Reading. Reading homework will involve reading comprehension, please encourage children to read the text and refer back to the text to answer the questions. Please also ensure the children read 5 times a week and record this in their reading record.
