Spring Has Sprung!

We have had a lovely week back following the half term break.  We have been busy thinking about spring, and enjoyed exploring and painting the blossom from Mrs Cruise’s plum tree.  We have also started our new big idea, People Who Help Us, by thinking about the people that help us at home and school.  We celebrated a couple of birthdays, the last for a while after a busy run of parties!  In maths we have been learning about length, we had fun deciding who is taller and who is shorter than us.  Mrs Cruise challenged us to build towers taller than the tables and a long snake that would go across the whole wet area.  This week we have learnt four new sounds sh, ch, th and ng.  Our drawing club story  was the Revolting Rhymes version of The Three Little Pigs, ask your children about the twist in the tale.  The special words this week were:

Construct

Sturdy

Flimsy

Taunting

Obliterate

Scarper

Celebrate

Exhale
