We have started our new computing topic ‘Route Planners’ and this week, we combined commands for directions and distance to make a character move along a chosen route. We were reminded that the word ‘algorithm’ means a set of detailed, step by step instructions that solves a problem or achieves an objective. We also got creative, making our own activity using 2Go on Purple Mash.
Every week, we learn how to keep safe online. So far, we have learned about how creating an avatar and limiting the information we post online can keep our identity private and how online friendships are different to friendships in the real world. This week, we explored ‘trust’ and whether we should trust someone we only know online.
