This week Falcons have completed their DT project ‘tomb builders’ which links with their History unit of work, ancient civilisations. This unit teaches children about simple machines, including wheels, axles, inclined planes, pulleys and levers, exploring how they helped ancient builders to lift and move heavy loads. After learning about the different machines we then designed and built our own machine that could have been used to help Egyptians build the pyramids.
