Falcons class have been reading ‘Wolf’s Story’ by Toby Forward, an alternative and funny version of the classic story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, in which the wolf explains his side of the story! In today’s lesson, the class learned how to debate. They first sorted out ‘facts’ from both the original and the wolf’s version of the story as well as real facts about wolves in the wild to help them decide whether the wolf is dangerous or just misunderstood. Once decided, they listened to each other and took turns to express their opinions through persuasive speech, making sure that they were being respectful of other people’s opinions.
