Owls have really enjoyed our English lessons this week. As part of our non-chronological report unit, we have been busy researching a different planet each day and developing a new writing skill alongside our research. From using conjunctions and bullet points to exploring formal and informal language, we have been building all the skills we will need to create our own reports. Today, we applied all of our new knowledge to the exciting task of designing our very own planet! We carefully considered each planet’s appearance, position in space and habitat using what we have learnt about real planets to inspire our ideas. We have created some wonderfully imaginative worlds and can’t wait to write our non-chronological reports about them next week!
