During this afternoon’s extra PE lesson, the children were introduced to the basics of fencing. They learned the first fundamental pose of fencing (‘en garde’), how to put on the protective mask and jacket and used a bendy rubber foil to practise light jabbing of their opponent’s torso. Owls had a great time and was something they had never done before.
