This week, we have been working on writing our own free verse poems. The children built up a bank of adjectives to describe a plant and then practised using these in sentences. They wrote a draft poem, then they used their editing skills to improve their writing.
They gave their poem a title and illustrated it. The children read their poem out the the rest of the class and we discussed our favourite parts.
