On Friday 28th November, Kestrels enjoyed an exciting visit to Celtic Harmony to deepen their understanding of the topic ‘Through the Ages’. The day was packed with hands-on activities that brought the past to life, giving the children a vivid sense of what it was like to live as part of the Raven Tribe.
They took part in hunting and gathering, built dens, learnt how tools were made using flint, and ground wild cabbage and herbs to make a soup, complete with a fire and a storytelling session. The trip was a fantastic opportunity to develop their understanding of how our early ancestors lived sustainably from the land, while offering a memorable and engaging way for the children to connect with history.
