We have had another successful week in Wrens. A definite highlight for me this week was meeting you as parents for parents evening. I always enjoy parents evening and hearing about how you feel your child has settled into school. It is wonderful that already we have formed so many fantastic working relationships to support your child/children. Thank you for your continued help and support.
In phonics this week we have learnt the graphemes (letters) for the phonemes (sounds) u, r and h. We have nearly finished Phase 2 already! Below are links to some videos that are part of our phonics scheme which will support you with knowing the pure sounds for each of the letters we learn in both Phase 2 and Phase 3.
Your child should now have a selection of e-books to access using their e book log ins in their reading logs. Please do check these as they are a fantastic resource to use to support your child with their reading.
In Maths this week we have been exploring finding more and less and the children enjoyed it when Ted our class puppet helped us to count again!
In Drawing Club this week our text focus has been Hansel and Gretel and I have again been blown away by the children’s writing!
