As part of our Maafa topic in History, Owls have been working incredibly hard researching the diverse countries of Africa. Each child chose a country that interested them and they became an expert by finding out about its population, size, landmarks and wildlife. This learning has also linked closely with Geography, helping us to develop our understanding of the human and physical features of different African countries. We presented our research in creative and engaging fact files, thinking carefully about how to capture the reader’s interest. We are looking forward to sharing our work with our peers and using our expert knowledge to answer questions about the different countries we have researched.
