History in Owls- 2.6.26

Owls are thoroughly enjoying our History topic of Ancient Greece.  Today, our focus was on city‑states—what they were, why they existed, and how they shaped life in Ancient Greece. We looked closely at one of the most famous city‑states: Athens.

We explored a range of information about Athens, including: location, poilitics, culture and Athena.

To bring our learning to life, we shared facts, acted out short scenes and worked together to show what we had discovered about each area.

We finished the lesson by discussing what made Athens such a significant city‑state—from its democratic ideas to its cultural achievements—and how its influence can still be seen today.
