Falcons took part in a fantastic K’Nex Challenge, using their STEM knowledge and skills to design and build their own rockets. The children worked collaboratively to plan their ideas, tackle challenges and carefully construct their models, showing creativity and determination throughout.
Each group then presented their rocket to the class, explaining how it worked and the thinking behind their design. Points were awarded for design, teamwork, imagination and reflectiveness, encouraging the children to think like engineers and consider how they could improve their work.
The standard of the entries was very impressive, and all of the children should be proud of what they achieved.
Well done to Lottie and Leila, who were awarded first prize. Their thoughtful and well-made design stood out, and we are delighted that their rocket will now be entered into the regional finals – a wonderful achievement!
A big well done to everyone for demonstrating such strong teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
