A warm Pirton welcome to all of the families of the children who have started in Reception this week. I upload a new blog about what we have been up to in Reception every Friday. Check back on this page regularly to see what we have been learning.
Mrs Last and I were so proud of how well the children settled in and everyone engaged really well with the activities both inside and outside of the classroom.
You may have noticed that your child has come home with a reading book today. I have listened to every child talk about 2 pages of their book and have written a comment in their new reading logs. This book has no words to begin with. Please read with your child as often as possible. We will hear each child read at least twice per week. You may also notice that in their reading logs there are log ins for Numbots, Bug Club and Purple Mash. These are the same logins that were sent home before the start of the academic year.
Please ensure that your child has their book bag with their reading book and reading record in school everyday so we can read with them throughout the week. Next week we will be starting PE lessons, so please also ensure that you have brought in a PE kit for your child. These are kept in school until half term, when we send them back home so they can be cleaned.
We look forward to having the children in full time from Monday.
