It’s been another fantastic week in Swifts.
In English, we published our favourite poems and took pride
in sharing our finished work. Swifts also performed their written piece to the class,
and we practised our listening skills.
During maths, we explored how adding to the nearest ten can
help with adding two digit and one-digit numbers. We played a game with Uno
cards and dice to make our number sentences!
This week in music, the children used different instruments
to create sound effects for ‘The Gruffalo’. They thought carefully about which
sounds would bring the story to life and make it even more exciting for our
listeners.
In PE, we practised jumping and landing safely from
equipment, focusing on controlling our movements and landing with balance.
For our final art session, Swifts added their final touches to their still life sketches and used their knowledge of paint mixing to add colour! We enjoyed an afternoon of painting and sketching.
Well done Swifts for another brilliant week.
Have a restful half term!
