This week in Science, Owls learnt about solubility and investigated which materials could dissolve in water. The children explored the meaning of the words solute and solvent and used water as their solvent to test a range of different solutes. They carefully observed what happened to each material and discussed whether it dissolved fully, partially or not at all.
