Sketching trees 23.01.26

This week in art, we leant about texture. We looked at different ways artists create texture and practised using different types of pencils and lines to create texture in our own art work. The children tried different techniques and then they applied these techniques when sketching a tree.

In PSHE we learnt about being resilient. The children shared things they need to practise, such as tying shoe laces and  breast stroke. We played a game of ‘catch the rat’. We learnt that when we keep trying something that is tricky, we slowly get better, and things aren’t always easy the first few times we do them!

  1. Excellent work ‘Robins’, you have really captured the texture of bark and trees. Trees are one of my favourite things to draw, paint and photograph!
