We have definitely enjoyed the sunshine in Wrens this week. I have been impressed by the super team games I have seen the children taking part in. This is really helping us to develop our resilience and respect.
In Phonics this week we have been learning tricky words. These are words that don’t always follow the phonetic code such as ‘the’ or ‘was’. This week we have focussed on the tricky words, ‘was’, ‘you’, ‘all’, ‘give’ and ‘live’.
In Drawing Club this week we really enjoyed learning about The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We enjoyed listening to the version written by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Jon Klassen. The children seemed to particularly enjoy the voices I used to read the stories- I think Mrs Williams also thought they were very amusing.
In Maths this week we have introduced our new topic and have started to learn about 3D shapes. We have been learning about the names of common 3D shapes and have started to talk about some of their properties.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Chattey
