Thursday 16th July 2026- Ancient Egyptian Day

Falcons had a fantastic day stepping back in time to Ancient Egypt. During the morning, the children explored a range of hands-on activities including mummification, canopic jars, tomb painting, amulet making, ink writing, perfume cone making and playing Senet board games. These activities helped them learn about Ancient Egyptian beliefs, daily life, art and culture while encouraging creativity and curiosity.

In the afternoon, the children brought their learning to life through role-play, taking on the roles of members of the Royal Court, priests, dancers, actors and slaves. They fully embraced their characters and enjoyed becoming part of the Ancient Egyptian world.

The children also enjoyed sharing a buffet together, which was a lovely opportunity to celebrate the day and spend time with their classmates.

It was a memorable and engaging day, and the children impressed us with their enthusiasm, creativity and historical knowledge throughout the workshop.

These are quotes from some of the children:

Leila- “I loved being an Egyptian for the day!”

Alberto- “It was fun playing Senet.”

Eliza- “I liked making different things.”

Izzy- “My favourite part was performing our shows!”

Renzo- “This was the best school day ever!”

Poppy- “The best part was the cross-stitching.”
